Charlie was absolutely fantastic during our training session with my dog. She took the time to understand what my concerns were and what my ideal outcome would be and then walked me through step by step on how to train for the behaviour I wanted. She was so in tune with my dog's body language and knowledgeable of dog body language and training. I would happily go to Wild Paw Dog Training again!

Charlie’s knowledge is fantastic! She really takes the time to understand my dog and his body language to really help him understand what’s going on. I consulted Charlie for her help with reactivity, lead walking and just general obedience with my Labrador. Now I have a puppy and I’m working with her immediately to set foundations in place. Charlie really takes the time to explain why she’s taking the approach that she has to ensure that I fully understand the methods and how to recreate them at home. I love that she provides personalised notes after the session for me to refer back to at home as well! Highly recommend WildPaw!

Benji and I had a brilliant first session with Charlie. She listened to the issues we wanted to work on and then helped with clear, concise and well-explained instructions, demonstrating how to do the techniques and then letting me have a go when I felt confident enough👌🏼. I could see an improvement in the things we were working on even after this first session! Amazing! Thank you Charlie x

Charlie is amazing! My partner and I are both first time dog owners and we wanted some help and guidance with our golden retriever puppy. Charlie first met Barney when he was 8 weeks old, he loved her from the first meet, he's now 13 weeks old and is doing so well with her guidance. The in person sessions are incredibly helpful as she guides us on different training techniques and shows us, but also makes sure we do it too and get involved so she can advise if needed. She is also always there for help and advice over text and we appreciate it so much, whether it's advising on what to do with a new behaviour or reassuring us that we are doing well. Many other people have commented on how much he already knows for only being 13 weeks, and whilst we have put effort in, Charlie is also to thank for the guidance. The after lesson debriefs are also great so we can refer back to what she's taught us. She always asks what we want to know, if there's anything specific we want help with etc but is also confident on advising what to work on next if we are unsure. We were both slightly nervous having a new puppy due to never having a dog before, but Charlie has really filled us with confidence (and Barney!). She is also a really lovely person and very professional, I don't know what we'd do without her! 100% recommend

Charlie is absolutely amazing, she listens to what you want help with and makes time to get to know you and your dog. Charlie is patient , understanding and non judgemental, she gives you so much support and is always there to answer any questions or to listen when your having a wobble and are unsure. I wouldn't go to anyone else, my dog absolutely loves her and thanks to Charlie I'm starting to enjoy walking my extremely reactive dog.

Thanks Charlie for putting such a brilliant plan together for Ollie 🐶 our little fellow 😊 You have made his reactivity training much less stressful than we thought it would be. We really appreciate your professionalism, openness and honesty in advising us while we felt down with Ollie’s anxiety. We will continue to work with Ollie, the skills we learnt from you. Ollie really connected with you and does look for you when we mention ‘Charlie’ 😊 We strongly recommend your services to anyone who are seeking support to train their beloved pet. Look forward to see you soon for Ollie’s walkies 🙌🏼🫶

I reached out to Charlie when my partner and I were finding our (nearly) two year old corgi’s resource guarding was starting to affect our lives. We had tried a lot of different techniques we’d seen online but just seemed to be making it worse. From day one, we could tell that Charlie was going to make a big difference in how we handled Willow’s behaviour. She talked us through how Willow is likely feeling and why she feels the need to resource guard. She gave us practical tips and walked us through the exercises she’d planned for us. Charlie is also frequently checking in, making sure we’re comfortable and confident and also reassuring us when things aren’t 100% perfect. Having a knowledgeable support system has been exactly what we needed.

Charlie has been a fantastic source of knowledge and support since me and my American staff/bully mix, Plato began working with her. After only a handful of lessons, we’ve worked on his dog reactivity and muzzle training. Both of which he has responded brilliantly to. I can honestly say I’ve become more confident and calmer whilst walking him, which has in turn helped to calm and focus him into being a happier pooch on our walks

Fantastic training with Shankley, he's so less reactive, not the first one to bark any more. Charlie has given us both the confidence to move forward. Thank you. I didn't really know where to start with my rescue reactive staffie but with Charlie's experience n help we've come a long way in a short time. He's now not the first to react which is the best xx

I would highly recommend Charlie at Wild Paw 🐾 We have just finished our training sessions with our 1 year old Lab x Staffy - Skye 🖤 She’s helped massively with Skye’s lead walking, using positive reinforcement to help reduce pulling and help how she reacts with other dogs/humans on walks. Charlie also helped us with meal times, and stopping snatching of food from the dinner table and our children’s hands/plates. After each training session, Charlie would send over a breakdown of the session, explaining to us what we needed to do going forward, and giving us little ‘homework’ tasks to help improve the training. Charlie was always super friendly, very knowledgeable and always willing to answer any question we had and would help anyway she could. Skye absolutely loved Charlie, and I think that’s testament in itself to how good she is with dogs. If we need anymore training in the future, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Charlie and would recommend her to any dog owner out there. Thank you again, from me and Skye!

I asked Charlie to come and help my 3 year old Cockapoo learn how to play fetch as my husband has always wanted to play this with him. Upon staring Charlie soon realised Maverick had a sensitivity to noise and doesn’t in general get anything out of returning a ball. Charlie tried absolutely everything but since discover he’s just not for playing ball as it’s not what excited him and makes him happy. It was a great learning experience and were given some pointers and homework to try with him.

I had to arrange some walks for my dog Coco at very short notice this week and Charlie was recommended to me, she has been absolutely amazing fitting us in and sending pictures and updates throughout, and Coco loves her! Highly recommend

Charlie has been working with our reactive lab, Poppy, for several weeks now & we have seen great progress right from the first session. Charlie plans her sessions methodically - tailored to Poppy’s needs & progress - and provides structured feedback and homework afterwards too! Would highly recommend!

Charlie at wild paw dog training has been working with myself, my wife and our reactive border collie Rio. He is one year old and started to display reactive behaviours at 6 months old. Before working with Charlie we were all just so stressed especially when taking him out for a walk. She has taught us some new techniques to help us and Rio, it’s taking commitment and time but we are starting to see results. He is calmer and learning to cope better when we are out. One of the things that has really stood out about Charlie is her passion for dogs and the desire to do the right thing for them. She shows how much she cares and that she wants the best for them. Rio can often appear aggressive but over time I am pleased to say that I hope Charlie has seen the softer side to him. And see what a lovely boy he is. Thank you for caring

We found Charlie at just the right time! After rescuing our bulldog Pepper in January this year, it quickly became a nightmare to walk her with our other Boxer dog. Pepper was always dragging me, even to the point of hurting her own paws. She was reactive to all dogs, which caused my Boxer to become more reactive too. It took almost being pulled onto a road by them both for me to realise I couldn't keep going. I decided to try dog training before giving up and that's when we found Charlie. She showed me that Pepper responds really well to treat based training with lots of praise and enthusiasm. I also hadn't realised how i was actually causing more damage to Pepper because I was trying to isolate her from other dogs instead of dealing with the behaviour itself. Charlie helped me to understand that Pepper's reaction was not aggression, but actually pure excitement to meet the other dog. As our walks continued we started to see her recovering from these reactions more quickly and we were able to start going up to other dog owners and let her meet them, which instantly stopped the reactivity. The main thing that I realised was that my confidence had completely gone. Having the training session one on one, meant Charlie helped me get it back! I hadn't realised how anxious these walks made me and how fearful i was of taking Pepper out. I know that as I put all the tools into place that Charlie's shown me, Pepper will get better and better. My relationship with Pepper has changed too - she and I have a better bond and she is much more engaged with me. There's still work to do but over the last few months, the difference it has made in me and in both my dogs, means walking them is no longer the worst task of the day. I'm so grateful - I wish I could do training with Charlie every week! She genuinely cares about my dogs and about how I am feeling and coping, always encourages me and really is very proud of the work we do together. Pepper and I will definately be having regular checks in's and refresher training to keep us on track. Thank you Charlie!

I had some concerns with my pups behaviour around other dogs and messaged Charlie for some help. After the first session the techniques suggested by Charlie really helped my puppy Mango settle into a routine better & I am starting to see changes in his daily behaviour 🐾 she offers us 24/7 support if I ever have any concerns, I would definitely recommend

We have just completed six training sessions with Charlie who has helped us so much with our cockalier poo Murphy. Charlie is lovely and Murphy has loved spending time with her and Gordon and I have really enjoyed the sessions too. We have covered resource guarding, and sensitivity being examined as well as learning to go to his bed whilst we eat. We are now practising all the advice and help we have received. Charlie has also been really helpful with advice on other issues between training sessions. We can't recommend her enough and look forward to seeing her again soon when she will do some dog sitting for us. Thank you xxx

Charlie has been so helpful training my rescue dog, Kobi, and me too! Kobi now pulls less on the lead and I know how to slow her down. Her recall on our first off-lead walk was great too. Charlie is gentle in her approach, kind and knowledgeable. I am so glad we are working with her. Highly recommended 🐾

Charlie at Wild Paw has been absolutely brilliant with our Boxer, Alfie. Alfie is not the most straight forward chap and we have had some real issues with his behaviour. Charlie has gone above and beyond to try and rectify these and we have really turned a corner recently in Alfie's behaviour. This would not have been possible without Charlie's dedication to making things right. She has made some excellent suggestions to help improve Alfie's behaviour and has stuck by him and us. I could not recommend Charlie at Wild paw enough whether it's just for causal walking or if your dog needs something more specific. Thanks Charlie ! 🫡❤️🔥💪🏻

I contacted Charlie initially to work on Lead walking and to stop my dog reacting to distractions such as squirrels and cats on his walks. Before our first session he unfortunately got attacked by an off leash (muzzled, thank god) XL Bulldog with a very irresponsible owner. Our concerns were still around walking but now he has a fear of other dogs, which can cause him to become highly stressed just passing them. Charlie scheduled an in depth WhatsApp call with me to talk through my concerns and when I alerted her to his incident she was compassionate and extremely helpful with what we wanted to ensure our dog was happy and his stress was reduced. The sessions Charlie planned have been well thought through and organised and had an impact from the first week. Bobby loves Charlie and myself and my partner can see changes in him we never thought we would so soon. The distraction techniques are working well and he is having less incidents of reactivity. Although we know he has a long road to go we are hopeful that he will be happier on walks with continued training and thats all thanks to Charlie 🤗 We would highly recommend Charlie to anyone, she is so passionate about using positive training and you can really tell she loves the dogs she works with and wants them to thrive

Charlie has been great with my 5 month old puppy. She is very attentive and sends me thoughtful updates to let know he’s being cared for so that I’m not worrying about him whilst I’m not home. She has helped with his walking as he still pulls a lot on the lead but he is gradually improving. Really happy to have found her!!

Charlie has been excellent with my two collie cross rescue dogs. They are both a little anxious, yet she won their trust quickly and has been teaching them to walk better on a lead. Charlie is really knowledgeable about behaviour & how to train them and she really goes out of her way to explain what she’s doing. She evens films some of the bits of the walk to show me how she’s training them. Charlie has a friendly, warm nature that the dogs love and I can highly recommend her services.

Charlie has been amazing with our 19 month old GSP, Ruben. Before Charlie, our walks were extremely challenging with Ruben being constantly over aroused which resulted in us not enjoying going on walks as they were so stressful. Since Charlie has come into our lives, showing how structure for Ruben and breaking down getting out the front door into stages can have a huge impact on his walking. Ruben now engages with me so much more on walks & very rarely pulls. Finding different techniques & positive reinforcement to suit Ruben’s needs, Charlie has helped us build our bond and we now enjoys our walks as they are a lot calmer. Charlie takes the time to explain everything and shows how to use the techniques for at home in between sessions. We are still working with Charlie as we want the best out of Ruben and with Charlie’s guidance & knowledge we know we can get him to a good place so he is happy and stress free when out & about with us. I couldn’t recommend Charlie enough! She is fab!

Charlie has been nothing short of fantastic with our 4 year old Wheaten Terrier, Finn. We were in a position where we were struggling with Finns barking and how he reacted to certain dogs. Charlie took the time to truly understand our concerns & got to know Finn through home visits and accompanied walks. She explained her assessment in a very clear & knowledgeable way and gave us a number of tools to help. We saw immediate results as she helped us understand why Finn was acting in certain ways. Charlie is now Finns walker on a weekly basis. He absolutely loves her and can’t wait for her to arrive! In summary, highly recommend!!

Charlie has been so helpful and understanding helping me train my reactive terrier to be more calm on walks around other dogs. As a vet I'm really impressed by her knowledge of dog behaviour and her techniques help you work with your dog rather than against them - positive reinforcement techniques are proven to make long term differences in behaviour and I knew Charlie was a facilitator of these techniques. The changes I've seen since starting her training have made a huge difference - dog walks are much easier again and I really enjoy using these training techniques with Mouse as I feel like I understand my dog better! Thank you Charlie.

We honestly couldn’t recommend Charlie enough, we got in contact with her as first time puppy parents to our 4 month old golden retriever Sebastian. She has helped us so much with so many different things, we worked on recall, demand barking, heel walking and the list goes on. Charlie has been so incredible and so patient and after our sessions we now feel so confident in raising Sebastian to be a well trained dog. I have not only noticed a change in his engagement but also in our confidence! We now feel happy that we are doing the right things and we would have not felt like this had it not been for Charlie being so supportive and amazing. We cannot Thankyou enough Charlie

Highly recommend Charlie. The hour consultation call was detailed and Charlie ensured we had a clear and easy to follow plan in place by the end of the call. She is very knowledgeable and calm and nothing was too much trouble. We found Charlie to be very honest with what she felt our dog needed and didn’t try to push sessions on us. It’s clear that Charlie genuinely cares and wants the best for your dog. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her as a trainer.

We’ve recently moved to the Wirral and been looking for a walker for out anxious labradoodle. He’s a gentle soul but can be wary of people. Charlie has been super understanding and really does take time to understand each dog as an individual and what they need ❤️. Monty absolutely adores her and is always SO excited on the days he goes out with Charlie. We couldn’t be happier that we’ve found her xx
